Tom has been coaching volleyball for 8 years and playing for 26. Originally a basketball player, Tom was recruited from his high school  basketball team and it didn’t take long before he was hooked. In his first season, Tom helped his volleyball team reach their first CIF semifinals as the starting middle blocker; a trend which continued throughout his high school career, and helped his team become one of the most highly ranked boy’s volleyball programs in the area.

Injuries near the end of his high school career prevented Tom from making the jump to the collegiate level. After two years off, Tom began competing in both doubles and 6v6 tournaments at a national level.

Originally from Long Beach California, Tom, his wife Krista and their 3 kids, have lived in the Temecula/Murrieta area since 2007. When he isn’t coaching Tom can be found on local courts playing volleyball and basketball as well as mountain biking trails.

Tom is a big proponent of taking the time to do things the right way. He believes that focusing on proper technique is key and he works hard to bring out the best in his players. In 2018 he coached for the Middle School Volleyball league and in the 2018/2019 club season he coached the 14 Local Gold team. He also helped coach the 13UA team to a silver medal at AAU Nationals in Arizona.
